The entire category assumed a desktop user with a funded wallet. Anyone else — which is most people — dropped out before the first purchase. That was not a conversion problem to optimise; it was an audience nobody was serving.
The story of top.fun.
A card payment, a phone, and no wallet setup — the shortest path into a token launch.
We built the front end mobile-native with Apple Pay as the primary funding path, provisioning an embedded wallet behind the scenes. No seed phrase, no exchange detour, no bridge. The first purchase is a card confirmation.
Card settlement and on-chain execution are two different clocks, and a mainstream user will not tolerate ambiguity about their money. We modelled pending, confirmed and failed as first-class states with plain-language messaging at every step.
A (3,3)-style incentive layer routes a portion of fees back into liquidity, distributes SOL to holders periodically, and rewards community participation. A social feed makes holding visible and shareable, so the reason to open the app is not only the chart. PWA and wallet-browser polish kept the experience intact outside the native app.
“The moment a card worked, the product stopped being crypto-only.”
The mobile and fiat on-ramp work remains the platform's clearest differentiator in a wallet-first category.
